Paul J. Langan, President and CEO

Mr. Langan was appointed Chief Executive in 2006, and subsequently appointed to the Board of Directors later that year. Between 2006 & 2010, Mr. Langan successfully built up Cornwallis Mackenzie’s standing and reputation in the Atlantic Canadian business community.

In 2007, Mr. Langan was instrumental in completing a mathematical model for real estate investing in Newfoundland, for British and American investors, while providing seed investment for two start-up's in the technical support and tourist information sectors.  

During 2008, Mr. Langan carried out a feasibility study ,that subsequently attracted the interest of both private investors and government funding to the order of $200,000 for a technology start-up company. In late 2008, Mr. Langan completed a feasibility study on an executive transportation model for North American role out. Simultaneously, he was the project lead on an RFP response for an international collaboration of wireless and spectrum executives.   

During early 2009, Mr. Langan approached both the Federal Government of Canada, via the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the Nova Scotia Provincial Government's business department, Nova Scotia Business Inc., and successfully negotiated to lead a Canadian delegation to New York to attend a venture capital investment readiness event for ACOA and an international trade delegation for the Nova Scotia government.

Mr. Langan is an Ambassador for Nova Scotia Come to Life and sits on a number of committees including the membership committee of the Halifax Club and he is actively involved in the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and a variety of international business groups. He is also a former executive committee member of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association and actively supports a number of charities in the medical and Veterans’ Affairs area. In 2006, Mr. Langan was granted Armorial Bearings from H.M. the Queen of England.
